Tasks and responsibilities Responsible for Requirements EngineeringDesign and System Engineering Support for activities relating to aircraft communication avionics systems. Analysing operational requirements Supporting the definition of endtoend system concepts and architectures Defining AC avionics system and equipment requirements Defining AC avionics interface specifications Establishing AC avionics Integration and Verification and Validation concepts in cooperation with the SESAR Joint Undertaking. Supporting AC avionics Hardware and Software Design and Integration activities Supporting negotiations and management of the Aircraft Avionics WorkPackage of the Iris Programme Phase B. Profile Degree in electrical engineering, aeronautical engineering or similar engineering professions. Good applied knowledge of relevant aeronautical avionics communication standards. Expected to have acquired technical experience in the Aeronautical Communications or Aircraft Avionics industry, ideally with expertise in safetyoflifeATC type equipment. Expected to have a wide network of contacts in the industry. Experience in design, evaluation and integration of analogue, digital and RF avionic equipment. design of aircraft installations, preferably with several types of aircraft including rotary wing good understanding of product development and industrialisation processes experience in drafting Eurocae and RTCA documents MASPSMOPS is an advantage satellite communication technologies preferred Personal Characteristics Very good communication skills, fluent English, working knowledge of other European languages is an advantage, selforganised, thorough and attentive to details, ability to work in a multinational team.
