With continued success, they now seek a talented customer-Facing engineer who can combine the coding ability of a developer with the customer-Facing interpersonal skills of a consultant - effectively acting as a troubleshooter, advisor and gatekeeper for the R&D team. In addition to excellent interpersonal skills & an impressive academic record, you should have solid experience of large-scale commercial software development using C++ (& ideally STL / Unix) along with a good understanding of current digital ASIC design flows and tools - particularly Synopsys, Cadence, &/ or Magma. Any previous experience in a customer-Facing role, particularly in the ASIC design space would be an obvious advantage. In order to get up to speed, you would initially work as a member of the R&D team in Cambridge. Your role would then be largely based in Cambridge, but some travel to customer sites in the UK and abroad should be expected.
