PhD Position Neuronal Non-Viral Gene / siRNA Delivery Drug delivery technologies are essential for making medicines in a suitable form for patients. The Irish Drug Delivery Network (IDDN) http://www.Ucd.ie/iddn/index.html is a joint initiative involving University College Dublin, University College Cork, Trinity College Dublin and Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland that has been established to improve delivery of biotech molecules. Within the framework of a Science Foundation Ireland funded Strategic Research Cluster grant we are looking for a highly motivated PhD student to study the utility of novel formulations that would enhance delivery of siRNA or genes into neuronal cells. The aim thus, is to develop better therapies for CNS disorders including ParkinsonÂ’s, HuntingtonÂ’s or AlzheimerÂ’s Diseases.
