Under the supervision of a senior professional of the Division, the incumbent will be involved in all the steps required for the preparation of WTO Trade Policy Reviews. Specific duties will include: 1. Research and analysis of economic and trade-related policies of WTO Members. 2. Participation in official missions. 3. Drafting of reports and preparation of statistics. 4. Servicing meetings of the Trade Policy Review Body and finalization of documents for publication. 5. Other relevant work of the Division, including the preparation of briefing notes on the economic and trade policies of individual WTO Members for the Director-General and senior management. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: An advanced university degree in economics, including relevant studies in international trade, and a demonstrated ability to carry out trade policy-oriented research. Work Experience: Minimum five years of professional or academic experience in dealing with trade-related policy issues. Ability to organize research materials, to write and communicate clearly, to meet deadlines, to work under constant time pressure, and to cooperate with other colleagues in a diverse international setting. Languages: Excellent knowledge of English and of another working language (French or Spanish) required. Additional languages (Arabic or Chinese) would be an advantage. Additional Information: The position may be offered at a lower grade if the selected candidate does not fully meet all the required qualifications. Our client requires a newly Qualified Social Worker to work within its CFE directorate for it's Children's Services Department. You will Manage a Children & Families protected caseload within a framework of supervision, including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of appropriate action to ensure that resources are utilised effectively to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and their families. The postholder should be working in line with the competency standard set out in the Children & Families Training Framework. Main duties and responsibilities: Manage a Children & Families protected caseload, including assessments, reviews and the preparation of welfare reports, within a framework of supervision, to effectively meet the needs of the client group in line with the competency standards set out in the Children & Families Training Framework. Monitor the use of resources to ensure their effective utilisation in line with service delivery requirements. Participate in the development of positive partnerships with statutory agencies, the Health Service, including Acute and Community Trusts and Primary Care Trusts, the Education Authority, District Councils, the commercial and private sector, and voluntary and private agencies, carers and those with parental responsibility in order to facilitate effective service delivery. Assist with support sessions for clients and carers, individually and in group settings, to relieve stress and modify attitudes of behaviour to meet the needs of the client. Ensure that information systems, e.g. CAFIS, and client records are effectively maintained in order to provide up-to-date and accurate information, upon which decision affecting service delivery can be made. Maintain a personal awareness of legislation, departmental and corporate policies and procedures, particularly those relating to looked after children, Children in Need and Child Protection, acting in line with those to ensure consistency and a high quality of service delivery across the Directorate. Assist with the training, recruitment and support of prospective adoptive parents in order to facilitate the adoption process. Attend regular in-house core training courses and compile a portfolio of evidence, supported by experiences in the field to achieve appropriate competency levels within practice level 1 of the Competency Assessment Social Worker Career Grade.
