PRIMARY FUNCTION The C3 Technician is responsible for monitoring access control alarms, CCTV, Duress Alarms, Weather, and other alarm events within C3 for all Target Corporate facilities. This position is responsible for identifying system problems and determining the proper notification process. The Security Technician supports HQ teams as they deal with crisis situations. As additional resources are added to the room, the Security Specialist will be required to expand their technical capabilities. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Access Control Monitoring: Provides monitoring of access control system for all Target Corporate facilities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Follows all alarm operations policies and procedures in a consistent, timely manner. Uses system knowledge to prioritize alarms and determine proper response. Responsible for completing ongoing status checks of all devices, investigating causes of devices not in their normal status, and accurately reporting issues to the appropriate team members. 2. CCTV Monitoring: Provides monitoring of all cameras located at Target Corporate facilities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Completes continual checks of all equipment and reports any system problems to the designated contact. Utilizes knowledge of facilities and building operations to determine when recorded video should be reviewed. 3. Communications: Monitors and maintains all forms of communication. Must be highly proficient in the use of multi-line phone system, call boxes/intercoms, and radios. 4. Emergency Response: Provides necessary support for all emergency situations at corporate facilities. Assists crisis response teams during critical situations that are managed from C3. 5. Reporting: Completes necessary reports including Daily Activity Logs, Incident Reports, and Pass down Logs. 6. Training Programs: Participates in all required and approved training classes. Provides assistance in developing additional courses based on the expanding role of C3. REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: This position will report directly to the AP Leader- Corporate Command Center (C3). These team members will also interact with contracted Wackenhut Security officers, Building Services, Crisis Emergency Response/Safeness Teams and other key HQ partners. JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school degree or comparable work experience. 1-3 years experience in assets protection or facilities management. 1-3 years experience with CCTV systems, alarms, and access control preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Good conflict management skills. Self-motivated and able to work with little or no direct supervision. Strong decision making ability during emergency situation. Able to work with highly confidential information. Able to work with all levels of management.
