Head of Procurement (Corporate Resources) 6 month interim North West Rates are negotiable A high profile public sector establishment is currently recruiting for a procurement professional to operate at senior and board level management. The role will involve the development of innovative procurement solutions and the provision of comprehensive, professional and cost effective procurement and commercial services across the board. With overall responsibility for the departmental procurement budget (circa £500k), significant control over the procurement expenditure (circa £150m) and a strong influence over non-procurement expenditure (circa £300m) this role is not one for the faint of heart. Establishing strong working relationships with executive directors and senior management you will be responsible for: - Delivering best value procurement strategies across various associated directorates - Forming strategic relationships with key suppliers, partner organisations and stakeholders - Directing procurement policy and strategy - All procurement related contracting and commercial activity and procurement systems - Ensuring all procurement is etical, legal and fair, transparent and commercially effective.
