The Role: We are seeking to recruit 2 experienced Project Implementation Managers to join our team. These are key positions and the successful candidates will be expected to take the lead in all operational and project delivery aspects of the projects to which they are assigned. The positions require a good understanding of microwave radio, cellular telephony, and optical transmission technologies, as well as strong leadership and resource management skills, and demonstrable awareness of project and financial management. In view of the customer-facing nature of this position, candidates must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and have the desire and ability to foster strong working relationships with our customers. The Implementation Manager is the expediter of the project. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Implementation Manager will manage delivery of the project according to the project plan, through the I&C field team. Key activities will include:- Day to day management of I&C field staff deployed on project activities Scheduling of project tasks to I&C field staff in line with the Project plan Manage I&C deployment costs to within stringent targets Ensure I&C staff comply with all Health & Safety policies, and meet project quality plan criteria Monitoring Project Implementation progress to the project plan Liaise with customer project teams to identify project delivery dependencies and constraints Providing daily project progress reports to the PM, highlighting any shortfall of deliverables Act as a technology interface with both customer and internal staff, and be able to engage with both at a detailed technical level. Essential Requirements Candidates must have the following essential requirements and technical skills: An engineering qualification (such as a degree or HNC). At least 5 years experience in project delivery of telecommunication network roll-outs. Computer skills including the use of Project management, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (e.g. MS Project, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) Good written and verbal presentation skills.
