Main Job Function To help manage all aspects of the Bank's datacentre infrastructure. This includes ensuring the various datacentres meet environmental standards, are secure and that all works within the datacentre are performed in a controlled manner in line with company /industry standards and best practice. The Datacentre Operations team oversees the delivery, build and installation of all hardware within the datacentre and performs proactive capacity management and reporting. Main Duties and Responsibilities End to end management of hardware installations Aperture Vista data population and maintenance Access control of datacentres Management of remote and/or unmanned sites Highlighting areas for continuous improvement' to DC services, service delivery Ensure Change Management process adhered to for all datacentre activities Provide input into service or toolset improvements Write documentation to support the service Incident management of datacentre issues Act as operational IT liason with facilities management Ensure datacentre installation standards are adhered to Managing existing capacity and monthly reporting Manage all Bar Cap and Vendor activities within the Datacentre Perform media management duties for backup tapes Qualifications/Education Required 5 x GCSE grade A-C or equivalent Qualifications/Education Preferred ITIL qualification Experience Required IT experience gained in a support or operational role.
