leading GSM softswitch designers are currently seeking a experienced Test/Support Engineer for a permanent position based in their Staines office. Their customers include major mobile operators, government agencies and private enterprises. You will function within a team of dedicated test and support engineers within Operations and test functions. Primary responsibility is delivery of 24/7/365 3rd line support service for companies flagship products whilst developing and implementing test suite. Main responsibilities: Provide 24/7 customer support as part of a support team. Identify and resolve internal and customer incidents and problems and resolve these in accordance with SLA and ITIL processes. Provide remote and occasionally on site customer support when required. Establish and initiate product test programs for various products, service and features. Develop customer documentation and product specification where necessary. Development test specifications and documentation. Demonstrate products and services to customers when necessary including technical workshops and conferences. Essential Technical skills: Detailed understanding and working knowledge (2 years +) of GSM-GPRS standards and protocols. Working knowledge of IP/SS7/SIP/M3UA/ISUP Linux/Unix Administration Ability to debug issues and take necessary information when required, MTP / VTUN / TCP dumps. Perl Scripting My SQL Advantageous skills: IPAccess Software and configuration experience. VANU configuration and experience GSNlite configuration and experience Satellite systems testing Programming in C++ WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT EU PASSPORT HOLDERS and candidates must be prepared to travel on short notice.
