As a Production Technician you will be a key team member in the production unit. Using your microbiological knowledge and skills, together with hands-on experience of full-scale production equipment the team will ferment a range of antigens for blending in to final vaccines for the animal health market. Key tasks: ? To work effectively within a team of technical staff engaged in the primary and secondary production activities to produce antigens for veterinary vaccines. ? To ensure that all production activities and operations are completed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and are compliant with cGMP practices. ? To work to the highest standards of housekeeping, safety and discipline in all elements of the job role. ? To be adaptable to production schedule changes brought about by equipment preparation and organism growth and pro-actively ensure that the output from the unit is maximised. ? To complete all necessary batch documentation as the operations are completed including associated evidence, print-offs, charts and signatures. The candidate: Successful candidates are likely to have a Diploma, ONC, HNC or Degree in a Biological Science, Pharmaceutical Science or Process Engineering. In addition, experience of cGMP, validation, SOP writing skills and risk assessment training is highly desirable. The salary is likely to be in the region of ?18,000-?20,000. The successful candidate will also be entitled to 25 days holiday, pension and healthcare. Interested?
