Aurora has the opportunity to expand our support to ESA at ESTEC in the domain of Earth Observation EO for the following work. Overview The successful applicant will support the Sentinels Ground System Manager and in particular in the area of instrument planning and data processing. The duties will include Supporting the definition and following the implementation of the payload planning and L1 data processing ground segment elements, for all Sentinels in particular, he will help ensure that instruments calibration strategy is correctly defined and implemented in those ground segment elements. Supporting the definition, preparation and execution of the InOrbit Commissioning, for all Sentinels in particular, he will help ensure that instruments calibration strategy is correctly verified in flight. You will have to foster a harmonized approach across all the Sentinels Projects, ensure usage of common standards and methods, and coordinate the resolution of problem areas. Further you will liaise with the Sentinels Project staff responsible for payload operations and data processing, and with the Ground Segment and Operations department staff in charge of the ground segment elements implementation. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team within the boundaries of assigned tasks and a stringent schedule. Experience in instrument operations and data processing. Communication and negotiation skills. Previous experience in similar working conditions is preferable. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands.
