On the 27th November 08 from 11-3pm Groundwork London s Climate Change Ambassadors are partnering with Trees for Cities to take part in a tree planting day. They need enthusiastic volunteers aged 16-25 who can spare four hours of their time to help plant tree saplings in Wormwood Scrubs Nature Conservation Area. Hot and cold refreshments will be provided and practical skills and local area knowledge will be shared by Groundwork London s Nature Conservation Officer. Travel will also be covered up to £7.00 per person if a receipt is provided. The C-Change Ambassadors are a group of 16-25 Year olds who are keen to spread the word about climate change and to help people reduce their carbon footprint. They also want to get more young people involved in practical conservation days and have set up these events in order to do so. Representatives from the group will be present on the day to help out and to offer tips and advise on how volunteers can start to make changes in their own lives.
