I'm very sad to say that after 7 years of serving aggregated job search results UKlug has been closed.

UKlug helped me:

1. Buy our first house!
2. Broaden my technical skills!
3. Fund my Mathematics degree!

UKlug has been very good for me and I wouldn't be working at Yahoo! had I not
taken this project on. There are a few people that deserve a mention. Dean Wilson
for suggesting Google Ads all those years ago. Google for being a silent but great
business partner. Most of all I would like to say thanks to Jenny for for putting
up with me working every weekend, for listening to my daft ideas about what I was
about to do next on the site etc and for saying yes.

Why am I closing UKlug!

I'm leaving the UK for a job with Yahoo! in San Francisco. The servers
etc where based in the UK and since this whole operation was run by me I would
be unable to physically manage the servers. I don't have time to move the site
to a cloud solution so I took the decision to learn from what I've done and
close the site. I'll probably build a new vertical search engine at some point.
If anyone is interested in doing this as a joint project you can find me

1. You have serious technical skills and understand search!
2. You're willing to spend every weekend working for no money!
3. You're willing to spend substantial sums of your money on a project!
4. You're based in California!
